Origin
Cultivated on a large scale in ancient Guatemala, Peru and Mexico, now amaranth can be find in other countries also, it is very suitable for human consumption and was used as drinks and foods in ceremonies. As many other foods this grain was used as an important symbol in their feasts. A fact unknown to many people is that amaranth is often about six feet tall and it is called a pseudo-cereal due to nutritional profile.
Health benefits
Health benefits include its ability to protect the heart system, strengthen the immune system, bones and circulation, digestion and lower appetite as well.
Although not evaluated completely by the FDA, another health benefits are that Amaranth is gluten free, help lower cholesterol, reduces inflammation, lowers blood pressure, and is an excellent source of fiber as well as vitamins A, C, E, K, B5, and B6. The immune system is boosted due to presence of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals.
Uses – Usage
Normally these cereals are rinse and boiled in order to be softened. Cereals like amaranth provide full nutrients in a simple way and why not in a short time. They have become very popular in many countries

Presentation can be in grains, flakes, pop´s, flour or cook & dehydrated.
Packaging is normally in 25 or 50 kilograms 3 ply paper, or in retail package according to client´s needs.
